Municipal Water Plan

Municipal water management involves a wide range of technical and financial considerations. Together with the Water and Climate Group West (WKW) partnership, we aim to ensure a consistent approach to our challenges. To this end, Arcadis has developed a clear vision and set of goals for the Municipal Water Program, along with universally applicable guiding principles that strengthen collaboration and our approach to shared challenges.

As the Municipality of Moerdijk, we have chosen to place extra emphasis on and provide further clarification regarding this matter in order to implement the Moerdijk Municipal Climate Strategy (GWP Moerdijk Focus Document), adopted in 2021, through concrete measures and implementation principles. The municipal council endorses this approach by adopting the focus document “Together Toward a Green, Climate-Resilient Living Environment by 2050” as the municipality’s new policy framework. The council has chosen to make urban water management more climate-resilient and to give water an important role in the integrated approach to (public) space as a whole.
