Information Sessions on Powerport (June 4) and Energy Projects (June 10)

The national government, the province of North Brabant, and the municipality of Moerdijk are inviting residents to two informational evenings. On Thursday, June 4, there will be a meeting on the current status of Powerport at the town hall in Zevenbergen. On Wednesday, June 10, there will be an evening event on the Port of Moerdijk high-voltage substation and VAWOZ energy projects at Hotel De Borgh in Zevenbergen.

Thursday, June 4: Powerport Update

In December 2025, the national government, the province, and the municipality agreed to make a decision in June 2026 regarding the future development of the port and industrial area and the measures that need to be put in place for the people living in the area. The administrative consultation is scheduled for June 29.

During the meeting on June 4, State Secretary De Bat (national government), Provincial Executive Member Dirken (province), and Alderman Dingemans (Moerdijk municipality) will explain where we stand at this point. They will also outline the process leading up to the decision. There will be an opportunity to ask questions and share concerns. No decision will have been made by June 4, so nothing definitive will be announced at that time.

Wednesday, June 10: Energy Projects at the Port of Moerdijk and VAWOZ

It was previously announced that an information session would be held on June 4 regarding the new Port of Moerdijk high-voltage substation and the future onshore connection for offshore wind (VAWOZ). This meeting has been rescheduled for June 10.

• Time: between 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.; feel free to drop by whenever you like
• Location: Hotel de Borgh, IJshof 1 in Zevenbergen

Residents of the village of Moerdijk, the surrounding area near Moerdijk, and Klundert will also be invited to the information sessions by mail.
