Who pays?

Is there a clog on your property? If so, you’ll have to fix it yourself. You’ll be responsible for the costs. Is the clog on municipal property? If so, the municipality will fix it for you at no cost. Always consult with the municipality before hiring a sewer service company.

Sometimes you don’t know where the clog is. Or you may not be able to fix it yourself. In that case, you can call a sewer service company. Always check with the municipality first before hiring a sewer service company. To do so, call 14 0168 (available 24 hours a day for emergency reports).

Expenses Not Reimbursed

If you hire a sewer service company without consulting the municipality and incur costs—for example, for a camera inspection, repair, or cleaning—those costs will not be reimbursed. This applies even if it turns out later that the blockage is the municipality’s responsibility. So always consult with the municipality before calling a company.
