Hospitality or Club Events, Notification

Restaurants and bars may report an occasional event six times a year. This allows for an increase in noise levels of 20 dB(A) and 33 dB(C) until no later than 1:00 a.m. An example of such an event would be a live band performance.

A notification must be submitted at least 2 weeks in advance.

Terms and Conditions

You cannot report a one-time celebration if:

• Your facility does not have adequate soundproofing measures; or
• Violated the applicable noise standard during the 6-month period preceding the date of the event.

Costs

There is no charge for reporting a one-time celebration.

Scheduled Community Celebrations

The Municipal Executive has the authority to designate a number of days as “collective festivities.” The relaxed noise limits also apply on these days. Hospitality establishments are not required to submit a “one-time event” notification for these days.

For 2026, the municipal executive has designated the following days:

For hospitality establishments in all neighborhoods of the municipality:

• February 13 through February 17 (Carnival);
• April 26 (King's Night);
• April 27 (King's Day);
• December 31 (New Year's Eve).

For participating restaurants and bars in downtown Zevenbergen:

• September 26 (Zevenbergen Live!);
• December 20 (Klûnen).
