Community Gardens

You can rent community gardens from the municipality for a set fee. An agreement is signed for this purpose.

The municipal community gardens are located in:

• Zevenbergen – Schansdijk
• Willemstad – Molenpad/Irene Building, Kloosterblokje, Kazernestraat
• Noordhoek
• Just outside Standdaar – Molendijk near the fire station
• Fijnaart – Julianastraat
• Moerdijk – Frisostraat

Good to Know

• No structures or buildings may be erected on the rented community garden or vegetable garden. An exception to this rule applies to the community gardens at the Schansdijk complex in Zevenbergen. Whether construction is permitted at this community garden complex depends on the zoning plan and other public legal regulations. Please note that a fee is required to apply for an environmental permit in order to construct a structure. For more information, please contact our permit office.
• You can only cancel your allotment lease in writing. You can do this by sending a letter to the municipality’s general mailing address or by emailing info@moerdijk.nl.

Costs

If you’d like to rent an allotment garden from the municipality, you’ll receive a list of available plots that includes the annual rent for each one. You can indicate which plot you prefer.
