Disability Parking Permit
With a disability parking permit, you can park in designated spots—for example, near stores, the pharmacy, and the library.
Good to Know
There are 3 types of disability parking permits:
- Driver's Permit: If you have a disability and drive your own car. The parking permit is personalized; you can use it with any vehicle.
- Passenger Card: if your disability requires you to rely on others for transportation. A Passenger Card is issued to a specific individual.
- Facility Card: This card is intended for (WLZ) facilities so that they can transport residents.
A disability parking permit is valid for up to 5 years. The permit you receive is a European disability parking permit and is valid in all countries of the European Union.

Where can I park?
- In most European countries. However, you must follow the rules that apply in the country where you park.
- You may park outside the designated spaces, but you must not obstruct other road users. If you use your parking disc, you may park here for up to 3 hours.
- You must pay for parking in disabled parking spaces, even if you hold a disabled parking permit.
If your disability parking permit is lost or stolen, you must report it to the municipality. You can fill out, print, and sign a loss report yourself. You must submit the report in person at City Hall. Don’t forget to bring a recent passport-size photo and your ID.
