With insulating window film, you can improve the insulation performance of single-pane and double-pane windows. You can essentially turn single-pane windows into double-pane windows, and upgrade double-pane windows to high-efficiency (HR) glass. This helps keep heat inside your home and reduces your gas consumption.

Do you still have single-pane windows? That means your home is losing a lot of heat. The best solution is to have the single-pane windows replaced with HR++ or triple-pane windows. But if that’s not possible, you can also keep the heat inside effectively with good curtains or special Roman shades.

Roof insulation helps you save a lot of energy—and therefore money. But insulating your roof isn’t just about lowering your energy bill. A well-insulated roof makes your home feel more comfortable. Minimum R-value of 3.5 [m²K/W].

You might not think about it right away, but heat also escapes through window frames and exterior doors. Insulated window frames and doors help minimize this loss. That’s why you should pay attention to the U-value of window frames and doors: the lower the U-value, the better the insulation. Maximum U-value of 1.5 W/m²K.

Often, your underfloor heating pump runs all the time—not just in the winter, but also in the summer. That’s a waste. In the summer and on other warm days, you don’t need underfloor heating. So there’s no need for the underfloor heating pump to be running. A pump switch ensures that your underfloor heating pump only turns on when you need heating. That saves a lot of unnecessary energy consumption.

An induction cooktop or range runs on electricity and is energy-efficient: a great alternative to your gas range. Cooking with induction is very similar to cooking with gas: you can adjust the temperature quickly. But it’s also safer than gas: the cooktop itself doesn’t get as hot, and there’s no open flame to burn yourself on.

A solar water heater provides hot water using energy from the sun. This allows you to save nearly 45% on your gas usage in the bathroom and kitchen. A solar water heater is a smart addition to your furnace: solar energy is a sustainable alternative to natural gas.

You can use a heat pump water heater to heat water in your home. It combines all the benefits of a heat pump in a single unit. Your heat pump water heater extracts heat from the air to heat your water. This is much more energy-efficient than a standard electric water heater, so you use less energy.

With solar panels on your roof, you can generate your own sustainable electricity and save on your energy bill.

A PVT panel combines the functions of solar panels and solar water heating collectors. PVT panels not only generate electricity but also extract heat from sunlight and ambient heat. This makes them an attractive option for homes looking to reduce their energy costs and CO₂ emissions.

With a shower heat recovery system, you use the heat from the outgoing shower water to preheat the cold shower water. As a result, you use about 40 to 50 percent less gas or electricity when showering.

Storing solar energy instead of feeding it into the grid: you can do that with a home battery. With a battery like this, you can use more of the electricity generated by your solar panels yourself.

Low-temperature heating is really no different from regular heating: you heat your home just as you normally would, using radiators, convectors, or underfloor heating (or wall heating, if applicable). There is one difference: the temperature of the water flowing through your radiators or heating system is lower than you’re used to. Please note that this isn’t suitable for every home.

Infrared panels (IR panels) can be a good choice as supplemental heating in the living room and in rooms you don’t use very often. Infrared panels are less suitable as a primary heating source, unless your home is very well insulated.

You can also use the voucher to purchase energy-efficient kitchen appliances. Old appliances must be turned in, and the new appliance must meet the appropriate energy efficiency label requirements under the new guidelines. You can use your voucher to purchase:

• Freezer (countertop or full-size model) Energy efficiency rating A, B, or C
• Refrigerator-freezer combo (large model) Energy Efficiency Class A or B
