More about Fijnaart
Fijnaart, also known as “the Fendert,” is located in a marine clay polder landscape in the middle of the Vrouwe Jacobsland polder, also known as the Oude Fijnaartpolder. A few creeks remain from past floods, particularly those in the north, which form the Ruigenhil nature reserve. To the north of that lie the Buitengorzen and the Hollandsch Diep.
Fijnaart is a village full of warmth and friendliness. Every year, everyone celebrates in a large tent during the Fendertse Festweek. Another annual event for music lovers is Graanpop. Fijnaart is home to a variety of shops and restaurants. The weekly market is held on Tuesday mornings. Flour, bread mixes, and cookie mixes are sold at the Oude Molen (Korenmolen). Voorstraat in Fijnaart will soon be renovated.
