2. Greening
RWS Tree Survey
The presentation will be given by RWS. Fewer trees will be cut down than originally planned, and these can be replaced with trees that have shallower root systems. The village council is calling for trees to be cut down only if they are replanted immediately.
Green Compensation
Greening plan approved: 7.5 million for the entire Moerdijk area over the next 10 years. These funds will be used for small-scale projects and renovations. In addition, there are budgets from wind energy and the Zevenbergschen Hoek High-Speed Rail Roundtable; be sure to check out the Zevenbergschen Hoek website as well .
A key concern raised by the Village Roundtable remains finding space to create green areas. Land could be purchased for this purpose. This issue will be addressed with the municipality’s “
” department.
3. Powerport
A Look Back at the June 4 Meeting
The report looks back on the information session and concludes that many questions remain and little progress has been made. Yet there is a real need to get clarity quickly.
Statement on the Preferred Alternative for the Port of Moerdijk 380/150/20 kV
A statement of opinion was submitted on behalf of the village council.
4. Traffic
Core
Traffic counts have been conducted, and work is underway on the camera surveillance system. The police have issued a positive recommendation regarding this. Written questions submitted by the village council to the municipality regarding the future traffic situation have been addressed.
Lapdijk
We will bring the resident’s question up for discussion with the traffic engineer. We had a meeting with the municipality. We were invited but not given a chance to speak. We would like to encourage the use of Blokweg instead of the shortcut. This will be discussed on Tuesday with the Port Authority.
Achterdijk
Following an investigation, it is now up to the city council to approve the costs associated with the Zevenbergschen Hoek Village Council for the purpose of establishing a hamlet so that a 30 km zone can be implemented.
6. Quality of Life Vision
There is a check available; what should we use it for? It is proposed that we use it to host a village get-together, and the proposal is approved.
7. Village Council
The chair of the village council is moving to Lage Zwaluwe. The village council is asked whether this poses an obstacle to the chairmanship. It is agreed that this does not pose an obstacle.
8. Action Items (List)
The action item list is reviewed and updated.
9. Any Other Business and Closing Remarks
Energy Transition
How are we going to organize the energy transition? Specific studies have been conducted for ZBH. We’re exploring whether we, as a village, can tackle this effectively. An information evening saw low attendance, which raises some concerns. This call goes out to all villagers. If you want to commit to the energy transition and maintain control over the solutions for our village, residents will need to contribute. It has been decided to put this issue on the agenda of the village council on a regular basis.
Traffic Conditions at LPM
It has been noted that the Port Authority has provided minimal communication regarding the upcoming work related to the Zevenbergschen Hoek Village Roundtable and the LPM A16 access road. This issue will be addressed with the Port Authority.
- 2 CPR training sessions scheduled for October
- The Mario statue was on display at the port authority. The memorial service was well attended. A request has been made to the municipality to install a water fountain.
