Come to the Photovoice exhibition

Starting in February, an impressive “Photovoice” exhibition will be on display at the Mauritshuis, located at Hofstraat 1 in Willemstad. The official opening of this exhibition by Councilwoman Pauline Joosten will take place on Thursday, February 12, at 3:00 p.m. at the Mauritshuis. Everyone is welcome! The exhibition will be on view through May.

Recovery Course

The Photovoice exhibition presents a unique and impressive display that originated from the HerstelXL recovery course. Photovoice is a recognized, scientifically grounded, and international course that participants find extremely valuable. The process yields beautiful, inspiring results. The program fosters personal growth and contributes in a meaningful way to the participants’ recovery process. HerstelXL aims to break down stigma and contribute to a society where mental health vulnerabilities can be openly discussed.

Through the Photovoice exhibition, course participants use powerful photographs to share their experiences with (self-)stigma surrounding mental health vulnerabilities, but above all, they showcase their inner strength. The images are enhanced by accompanying stories and words that move, connect, and inspire.
