Council of State Ruling on the Integration Plan for the 380 kV Tilburg-Rilland Connection

On October 23, 2024, the Administrative Law Division of the Council of State issued a ruling in the appeal proceedings against the “Zuid-West 380 kV Oost” integration plan. Nearly all of the 52 appeals were declared unfounded. For two appeals, the ministers must still amend the integration plan. For this reason, the Council of State issued a so-called interim ruling and ordered that these deficiencies be corrected within 26 weeks. Together with the Ministry of Climate and Green Growth, TenneT is consulting on the steps that must now be taken.

Since the integration plan has not been suspended, this ruling has no immediate impact on the project’s implementation schedule. This means that TenneT will continue with the preparatory work for the temporary connections.

In this article, you can read more about the Council of State's ruling on Tennet's website.
