Are you looking for a job but having trouble finding work? The Werkplein Hart van West-Brabant has a Werkpunt & Inburgering team that can help you with this. Read below to see which situation applies to you and how Werkpunt & Inburgering can help you.

Are you receiving benefits from Werkplein?

The Werkpunt and Inburgering team will then help you find a job or volunteer work.

They do this for various groups of residents. That is why this team has different divisions. The Job Agreement division, for example, focuses on residents who have been referred to the Job Agreement program. And the Integration team helps status holders find work. For those who cannot start a paid job right away, there is a volunteer work team. And, of course, they are also there for all other residents receiving benefits.

Are you not receiving benefits from Werkplein but do have a job placement referral?

You will then receive the same assistance as anyone who does receive benefits.

We also provide support even if you are not applying for or receiving benefits

Support from the UWV

Are you unemployed or about to become unemployed? If so, you can receive guidance from the UWV or apply for unemployment benefits. The UWV offers various services related to job search, education, and entrepreneurship. Visitthe UWV websitefor more information.

Would you like help finding another job? The UWV can put you in touch with the regional mobility team. You might also want to check out the introductory training course “On the Way to Work.” You can take this course through Werkplein Hart van West-Brabant if you want to work more than 20 hours a week—even if you’re not receiving social assistance benefits.

Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG)

A Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) is proof of good conduct. Employers or agencies may request one. For example, if you plan to work in childcare or education.

Apply for a VOG Online

Do you already have a VOG application form that has been completed and signed by an employer or agency? If so, you can complete your application online. Make sure you have your DigiD, your debit card, and a scanned copy of the application form—which has been fully completed by both you and an employer or agency—on hand.

Applying for a Certificate of Good Conduct at City Hall

If you'd prefer to handle the application at city hall, you can make an appointment.

Please bring the following items:

• A fully completed application form (you will receive the VOG form from your employer). If you do not receive the form from your employer, you can download it from the Dienst Justis website;
• Your valid original identification document;
• If you are authorizing someone else: If you are unable to submit the application in person, you may authorize someone else to do so. The authorized representative must bring the written authorization, a copy of your valid identification, and their own original identification.

Two to four weeks after you submit your application, you will receive the VOG or a rejection notice in the mail.

Terms and Conditions

You apply for a VOG at the municipality. The VOG is issued by Dienst Justis. Dienst Justis reviews the application. Two to four weeks after you apply, you will receive the VOG or a rejection notice in the mail.

A VOG is a snapshot and does not have a fixed period of validity. Depending on the purpose for which the VOG is requested, a validity period of 3, 6, 9, or 12 months is typically applied in practice.

Free Certificate of Good Conduct for Volunteers

A larger group of volunteers is eligible for a free VOG. In addition to volunteers who work with children, volunteers who work with people with intellectual disabilities can also receive a free VOG. In such cases, it is possible to complete the application without paying a fee. However, you must submit the application digitally through Dienst Justis. If you apply for the VOG through your municipality, you will no longer be eligible for reimbursement.

Not registered with a municipality in the Netherlands

Are you not registered in the Basic Registration of Persons (BRP)? For example, because you live abroad or are working in the Netherlands temporarily. In that case, you must submit your VOG application directly to Justis.
