Vrouwe Jacobstraat, Prins Bernhardstraat, Hazebrouckstraat, and Prinses Beatrixstraat in Fijnaart

What's coming up?

Residents on Vrouwe Jacobstraat in Fijnaart experience flooding during heavy downpours. To address this issue and gradually make Fijnaart climate-resilient, a stormwater management system is being installed on Vrouwe Jacobstraat, Prins Bernhardstraat, Hazebrouckstraat, and Prinses Beatrixstraat. As part of this project, major maintenance will also be carried out on the roadway, parking spaces, and sidewalks, and public green spaces will be prepared for new plantings.

What is the latest update?

  • Preparations for the project began in October 2024.
  • On April 9, an information session was held for residents, where they received more information about the planned construction work and its impact on their neighborhood.
