Construction Work on Langeweg

Van den Elshout & De Bont is carrying out work on the Zuiddijk in Langeweg on behalf of the municipality of Moerdijk.

What are we going to do?

The sewer system and the pavement on Zuiddijk are in need of maintenance. That is why we are replacing sewer connections and street drains, among other things. We are also temporarily removing part of the pavement to ensure we can work safely. Afterward, we will restore the pavement. This way, we ensure that the sewer system and the road will last for many years to come.

When will we carry out the work?

According to the current schedule, we will begin on Monday, October 12, at 7:00 a.m. Phase 1 of the work is expected to take about three weeks. The schedule may change due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances. If that happens, the contractor will notify you.

Drain trap on your sewer connection

During the work, we will install a drain cleaning access point on your sewer connection at no charge. This component will be installed on your property, approximately 50 centimeters from the property line. With a drain cleaning access point, you can have any future clogs cleared more quickly.

Are there any plants, shrubs, or other objects in this area? If so, please remove them beforehand. You can put them back after the work is completed.

If you do not want a drain-cleaning fitting installed, please let us know by email no later than Friday, October 2. If we do not receive a response, we will automatically install the drain-cleaning fitting.

How are the construction works affecting you?

You may experience some inconvenience during the construction work. For example, you may hear noise from machinery and construction traffic. You may also be bothered by dust or vibrations. We understand that this can be annoying. That is why we are doing our best to minimize the inconvenience as much as possible.

Accessibility

During Phase 1, the work area will be temporarily closed to traffic. Your home will remain accessible on foot as much as possible during the work. Parking within the work area will be temporarily unavailable. We therefore ask that you park your vehicle outside the work area. We will reopen the driveways as soon as possible.
