Construction Work on Langeweg

We are performing maintenance work on Schoolstraat. We are repaving the road and the area adjacent to it. We are working from Schoolstraat 4 to the Zuiddijk intersection. The intersection itself is not included in the work. The work area is shown on the back of this letter.

We’re also improving drainage. That’s why we’re installing additional storm drains. The roots of a few trees are pushing up the pavement. We’re making the planting beds there slightly larger.

The road layout will remain the same. We will move one speed bump. It is currently located near a farm entrance, just past house number 4. It will soon be located near two trees. The other speed bumps will remain in their current locations.

Planning

We expect to begin work in week 7. The schedule is subject to change, as we are dependent on various factors, such as the weather and the progress of previous work. We will carry out the project in six phases. If everything goes as planned, we will be finished by the end of May 2026 or early June 2026.

How does this affect you?

During the work, the street will be closed to traffic. Your home will remain accessible: on foot or by bike (pushing it along) via temporary walkways.
