Projects in Zevenbergen

We’re getting to work at the Watermolen. We’ll be performing maintenance on the pavement and the landscaping. This means we’ll be repaving the area and, if necessary, doing minor landscaping work. We’ll be using new materials for this. The work will take place on the roadway, the sidewalk, and near the parking spaces. The image below shows where we’ll be working.

Planning

Work on the Watermill began on April 27, 2026, and, if everything goes according to plan, is expected to last until mid-September 2026.

What are we going to do?

On behalf of the municipality of Moerdijk, contractor Elshout en de Bont is repaving Fabrieksstraat. The work involves the roadway, sidewalks, parking spaces, and the parking lot near the fire station. Preparations have already begun. Below is a view of the work area where we will be working.

Planning

Work on Fabrieksstraat began in late April 2026 and, if everything goes as planned, will continue until late July 2026.

On Achterdijk, there is a problem with traffic speeding. In response to requests from the local community, Achterdijk is therefore being redesigned. This design was developed in collaboration with residents, who were given the opportunity to choose the type of speed-reduction measures and their locations. A study is also being conducted on adjusting the village boundary.

What's coming up?

Various speed-reduction measures will be implemented on Achterdijk. Residents have opted for road narrowings, as well as optical speed bumps, red bike lanes, and at-grade intersections.

In addition to the desire to reduce the speed limit on the Achterdijk, there was also a request to adjust the town limits. This proposal is now being submitted to the council. If it is approved, the adjustment of the town limits can also be included in the project.

What is the latest update?

The engineering firm reviewed the residents' preliminary design for safety and accessibility. A final design was then created based on this. Curious?

View the Achterdijk – Blokweg – Nieuwe Weg

• Red-colored bike lanes will be added on both sides of the roadway;
• There will be road narrowings near house numbers 15, 81, 91, and 97;
• Speed bumps will be installed near house numbers 49, 51, and 89;
• The intersections with Nieuwe Weg and Molenweg will be made equivalent. These intersections are designed as simulated plateaus and will be painted red.
• The road markings are being repainted;
• The sign marking the boundary of the Achterdijk will be located near Achterdijk 41a.

• Red-colored bike lanes will be added on both sides of the roadway;
• There are road narrowings near house numbers 105, 107, 109, 119, 125, and 171;
• Speed bumps will be installed near house numbers 107, 107b, 24a, 123, 127, 143, and 179;
• The intersections with Schenkeldijk and Drielseweg will be made equivalent. These intersections are designed as false plateaus and will be marked in red;
• The road markings are being repainted;
• The asphalt between Drielseweg and Gelderseweg is being repaved;

The sign marking the municipal boundary for Kalishoek will be placed near Achterdijk 127 and will extend to the intersection with Gelderseweg.

Planning

Now that the design drawings are complete, the bidding process can begin. We expect to know who will be carrying out the work by August 2026. After that, a schedule will be drawn up with the contractor. More information about the schedule during construction will follow.

On Monday, August 31, 2026, the Municipality of Moerdijk and BAM Infra will begin work on Afgebrande Hoef in Zevenbergen. From August 31 through December 31, 2026, Afgebrande Hoef will be closed to all traffic. The current road will be removed. Afterward, the new construction road, Verlengde Zuidrand, will be built here. Traffic heading toward Markdijk will be rerouted via Prins Hendrikstraat, Kristallaan, and Generaal Allenweg.

The work is necessary for the development of the Zevenbergen-Oost area. In addition, work is underway on the new construction road, Verlengde Zuidrand. At the same time, cables and utility lines are being upgraded. By carrying out this work simultaneously, the project will be completed more quickly.

On Monday, August 31, 2026, the municipality of Moerdijk and BAM Infra will begin work on Hazeldonkse Zandweg in Zevenbergen. From August 31 through November 13, a section of Hazeldonkse Zandweg will be closed to motorized traffic. This section runs from the bridge over the Zwanengat to the roundabout at Hazeldonkse Zandweg 34—a distance of approximately 300 meters.

Detours

• Traffic heading toward downtown Zevenbergen should take the Oostrand (N389) and Prins Hendrikstraat.
• Traffic heading toward Etten-Leur should take Prins Hendrikstraat and Oostrand (N389).

Cyclists and pedestrians can continue to use Hazeldonkse Zandweg.

In opdracht van Enexis voert BAM E&W werkzaamheden uit aan het lagedrukgasnetwerk. Om deze werkzaamheden veilig en efficiënt uit te kunnen voeren, wordt de weg tussen Achterdijk 105 en 107 tijdelijk afgesloten voor alle weggebruikers.

De afsluiting geldt voor:

• Voetgangers;
• Fietsers;
• Gemotoriseerd verkeer.

De werkzaamheden starten op 31 augustus. Naar verwachting duurt de afsluiting minimaal 5 weken en maximaal 8 weken.

Wij vragen weggebruikers om gedurende deze periode rekening te houden met de afsluiting en, indien nodig, gebruik te maken van een alternatieve route.

Onze excuses voor het eventuele ongemak en bedankt voor uw begrip.

Mourik Infra legt in opdracht van de Provincie Noord-Brabant de Noordelijke Randweg van Zevenbergen aan. Als onderdeel van dit project bouwen wij ook een nieuwe brug over de Roode Vaart. Binnenkort voeren wij hijswerkzaamheden uit voor de bouw van deze brug.

Work

Vanaf woensdag 23 september starten we met de hijswerkzaamheden voor de nieuwe brug over de Roode Vaart (Kunstwerk 1). De brug bestaat uit twee landhoofden en twee steunpunten aan de dijken van de Roode Vaart.

Omdat de brug over het water wordt gebouwd, voeren we de hijswerkzaamheden uit vanaf beide dijken. Tijdens de hijswerkzaamheden zijn de Schansdijk en Koekoeksedijk volledig afgesloten voor auto’s, fietsers en voetgangers. We starten op woensdag aan de zijde van de Schansdijk. Vanaf vrijdag werken we ook vanaf de Koekoeksedijk. Vanaf dinsdag zijn beide dijken weer volledig geopend voor al het verkeer.

Planning

Schansdijk

De Schansdijk is afgesloten van woensdag 23 september om 07.00 uur tot maandag 28 september om 18.00 uur. De Schansdijk is afgesloten tussen Schansdijk 1 en het AZC Zevenbergen.

Koekoeksedijk

De Koekoeksedijk is afgesloten van vrijdag 25 september om 07.00 uur tot dinsdag 29 september om 05.00 uur. De Koekoeksedijk is afgesloten tussen Koekoeksedijk 8 en Koekoeksedijk 12. Het gedeelte tussen Koekoeksedijk 8 en Achterdijk 3 is enkel toegankelijk voor bestemmingsverkeer.

Verkeersmaatregelen en hinder

Tijdens de hijswerkzaamheden zijn delen van de Schansdijk en Koekoeksedijk afgesloten voor al het verkeer. Het bouwterrein wordt hierbij volledig afgesloten. Auto’s, fietsers en voetgangers worden door verkeersregelaars tegengehouden. Het betreden van het bouwterrein is zeer gevaarlijk.

Wij vragen u daarom vriendelijk de instructies van de verkeersregelaars en de aangegeven omleidingsroutes te volgen. Houd rekening met een langere reistijd en maak gedurende de afsluiting voor uw eigen veiligheid gebruik van de voorgeschreven omleidingsroutes.

• Bedrijventerrein de Koekoek: bereikbaar vanaf de A17 via de Blokdijk en Koekoekendijk.
• Bedrijven Koekoeksedijk: bereikbaar via de Blokweg en Achterdijk (enkel bestemmingsverkeer)
• Bedrijven Schansdijk en Kafra/AZC: bereikbaar via de Galgenweg en Dikkendijk.
