What does the municipality do?

The municipality has its responsibilities: providing enough trash cans, emptying trash containers on time, maintaining green spaces, and so on. But Moerdijk is large and sprawling: the men and women who work for the municipality can’t be everywhere at once.

If we all pitch in and take a little care of our own neighborhoods, we can make Moerdijk a better place together. Together, we can ensure that coming home to our towns and cities remains a pleasant experience.

The city can’t be everywhere at once. And maybe your street meets the “aesthetic standards”—a fancy term for how much weeds are allowed to grow—but you’re still bothered by the greenery between the pavers. Or by the trash someone left on the playground right outside your door. In that case, take the initiative yourself and clean it up. It takes very little effort but brings great joy to you and your neighbors. That’s how we do it in Moerdijk.
