Electronic Government Communications Modernization Act
You can handle an increasing number of matters with the municipality online. New rules apply to this. These rules are set forth in the Act on the Modernization of Electronic Administrative Communication (Wmebv) and ensure that digital communication remains clear, secure, and accessible to everyone.
What does the Wmebv regulate?
You may submit official communications to the government electronically. Examples include:
- permit applications
- file an objection
- file a complaint
The government must clearly indicate which digital channels you can use for which product (for example, a web form or an online appointment).
All digital channels listed in the Designation Decreecan be found on the website under “Direct Services and Information” and are listed in the table below. In addition to digital communication, you can still contact us by phone, mail, or by making an appointment at the service desk.

- To make interacting with the government easier and more modern.
- To better protect your rights when communicating digitally.
