Bulky waste (large household items)
Bulky waste is any household waste that does not fit in the dumpster, such as:
- Furniture, beds
- Flooring
- Scrap metal (no bicycles)
What is not considered bulky waste?
- Rubble, tiles (recycling center)
- Fence boards, pallets (recycling center)
- Sand (recycling center)
- Construction waste (recycling center)
- Garden trimmings (there is a separate collection day for these, or you can take them to the recycling center). For more information, visit our Garden Trimmings page.
- Electrical appliances (have them picked up by Stichting De Kringloper or take them to the recycling center)
- Bags of general waste (underground container for general waste)
- Car Tires (Municipal Yard, Parelhoenweg 1 in Klundert)
What do you do with your bulky waste?
Drop it off yourself
Bring your bulky waste to the recycling center in Klundert for free. You don't need to make an appointment; you can drop off your bulky waste immediately during the recycling center's opening hours.
Arrange for pickup
Are you unable to take your bulky waste to the recycling center yourself? If so, you can schedule a pickup at your home. Register your bulky waste online or through the Waste Service app. Once you’ve registered, we’ll pick up up to 1 m³ of bulky waste—or, for example, one sofa set.
Please note: new offer period
On collection day, place your bulky waste outside between 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. You are not allowed to put bulky waste outside the evening before collection day.
Why are we adjusting the offer period?
When bulky waste is placed outside the night before collection day, additional waste is often added. As a result, there is sometimes more waste than was reported. If the collector finds more waste than was reported, the bulky waste will not be picked up.
By putting out bulky waste only on the morning of pickup day:
- it's shorter on the street;
- we reduce the likelihood of additional waste being disposed of;
- We increase the likelihood that your bulky waste will be picked up as scheduled.
Where do you put your bulky waste?
- Place your bulky items on the sidewalk in front of your home, along the main road.
- Make sure the bulky items are easily accessible to the collection truck.
- If the collection truck can't reach your home, please use the spot where you normally put out your trash bin.
- Group individual items into convenient packages.
Some electrical appliances and goods deserve a second life!
