Grant for Commemorations

Are you organizing an event to commemorate or celebrate something? If so, you may be eligible to apply for a grant. The condition is that your event brings together residents of the municipality of Moerdijk to commemorate the war and the flood disaster or to celebrate the liberation of the municipality.

These are accessible activities in the fields of art, culture, heritage, and history, such as performances, exhibitions, educational programs, or monuments.

We would like to know:

  • What your business is
  • What Your Activity Plan and Budget Look Like
  • Quotes/supporting documents for eligible costs

Terms and Conditions

You can apply for a grant

  • by (an authorized board member of) a nonprofit (volunteer) organization based in the municipality of Moerdijk
  • if the activity focuses on creating or developing the activity
  • no later than 8 weeks prior to the activity

Grants are awarded only for reasonably incurred costs that are directly related to the planning and implementation of the activity.

The following are not eligible for a grant:

  • Travel and Lodging Expenses
  • Purchase of materials and goods that are later used for personal purposes
  • Catering Costs
  • Costs for Prizes Offered
  • Costs not listed or budgeted in the original application

What do we ask in return?

If you apply for a grant, we will work out the details together. You will receive a financial contribution, and in exchange, we ask the following of you:

  • Please send us a report on the event, including a photo
  • You mention the municipality of Moerdijk in your communications regarding the event

If you meet the eligibility requirements, you can apply for a Commemoration Grant.
