Recognition of an (Unborn) Child
Are you unmarried and not in a registered partnership? If so, from a legal standpoint, your child has only one mother at birth. If you wish to be the legal father or co-mother, you must acknowledge the child with the mother’s consent. This can be done before or after the child’s birth. You can acknowledge a child at any municipality in the Netherlands. You can make an appointment with us for this purpose.
