Delta Schelde CO₂nnection (DSC)
Overview of all projects to improve energy infrastructure
To contribute to climate goals, Gasunie is working on the Delta Schelde CO₂nnection. This is a CO₂ infrastructure project for captured CO₂ from industrial clusters in Southwest Brabant and the Antwerp region. The Delta Schelde CO₂nnection is part of Gasunie’s CO₂ network, which is designed to accommodate future connections from other industrial clusters, such as Zeeland.

Where is this connection located?
The infrastructure runs from the Belgian border toward the Moerdijk region. The route of the transmission pipeline is primarily located within the LSNed pipeline corridor and, after compression in the Moerdijk region, will connect to the Delta Rhine Corridor, with the ultimate goal of permanent storage in depleted gas fields beneath the North Sea.

What is the latest update?
The project is currently being further developed. The next phase is the launch of the project procedure, which marks the start of the permitting process. The Ministry of Climate and Green Growth (KGG) is responsible for coordinating this effort.
