Zwanenveld

In the Zwanenveld area, east of Hazeldonkse Zandweg, it has not yet been possible to reach an agreement with all parties involved. The plan for this area is also to create low-traffic neighborhoods along a central axis running from Hazeldonkse Zandweg to the Oostrand (N389). It is not yet clear when—or if—this area will be developed.

What is the latest update?

Woonkwartier has also launched an initiative to work with residents of the St. Josephbuurtje neighborhood to explore the future prospects for this area. Woonkwartier has finalized the plans for this neighborhood and shared them with the residents. Although the neighborhood falls outside the Zevenbergen Oost area development, there are, of course, significant overlaps. The results of this process will also be incorporated into the next steps for this subarea.

The construction of the Oostrand Roundabout depends on the progress of the Zwanenveld subproject. This is a separate subproject because it involves a major infrastructure project. The roundabout is to be built on Provincial Road N389 (Oostrand). The design and construction must take place in consultation with and with the approval of the province.
