The TPO Moerdijk soccer club has indicated that it would like to postpone the renovation until spring 2026. This is because TPO needed to conduct additional research after a laboratory test showed that the grass would not grow well in the current soil. Making changes now would delay the start of the project and the seeding of the grass.

Therefore, at the request of the board and the contractor, it was decided to postpone the work by one year, until spring 2026.

TPO Moerdijk’s main field is being renovated. This renovation is necessary because grass growth is limited and there is a significant amount of unwanted weeds. An extensive soil analysis was conducted beforehand to determine the cause of the limited growth. Subsequently, a set of specifications was drawn up detailing the necessary work. The renovation will now consist of the following tasks:

What does the renovation entail?

The following work will be carried out during the renovation.

• Creating a work access route from the parking lot.
• Cleanup work, such as removing pavement and targets.
• Supervising work such as removing sprinklers and reinstalling the drainage system.
• Soil preparation of the playing field through tilling, compacting, leveling, adding sand to make the soil poorer, fertilizing, and seeding.
• Paving the area around the field, replacing the netting on the ball catcher, and installing new goals.
