Tips for Staying Cool in Hot Weather

It will be hot in the coming days, with temperatures above 30 degrees. Starting tomorrow, the National Heat Plan will go into effect for the second time this summer. That’s why it’s important to take good care of yourself and others. These tips will help you keep a cool head.

  • Drink enough water throughout the day (about 2 liters)
  • Wear light, breathable clothing and protect yourself from the sun
  • Keep your home as cool as possible and ventilate it in the evening
  • Take it easy, especially between 12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., and be sure to apply plenty of sunscreen

Let's also look out for one another. For example, keep an eye on the elderly, neighbors, or people who are vulnerable.
