De Hil and the Station Area were the last areas to be added to the Zevenbergen Oost integrated area development project.

What's coming up?

The Stationshart brings together various initiatives that can reinforce one another. These initiatives are:

Due to the desire for a flexible, safe bicycle and pedestrian connection between Zevenbergen East and the other neighborhoods of Zevenbergen in the Station Area, the construction of a low-traffic tunnel was proposed. Among other measures, the construction of a Station Tunnel will also provide direct and safe access to the platforms from Zevenbergen East.
Further development of the public transportation hub around the station (including the integration of high-capacity public transit). The cramped bus station at the front will be replaced by a bus station at the rear.
To enhance the quality of the De Hil business park by creating a space for living, working, and leisure activities. The goal is to ensure social safety in the —new— Station Area.

What is the latest update?

The municipality of Moerdijk is working with ProRail, NS, and the province of North Brabant on the future of Zevenbergen Station and the surrounding area. Residents, business owners, property owners, and users of De Hil are also involved in this effort.

On June 26, 2025, the city council adopted the area vision for the Station Area. All meeting materials and supporting documents can be found under the city council meeting of June 26, 2025.
