Certificate of Life (international proof of being alive)

If you need proof that you are alive for a foreign organization (such as a life insurance company or pension fund), please request a certificate of life. You must apply for this document in person at the front desk of City Hall. To do so, please make an appointment to request an extract.

• A valid form of identification;
• If applicable: proof that you need the document for pension purposes;

What are the costs?

This document is free if you provide proof that you need it for pension purposes. In all other cases, you will be charged €17.80.
